Description:

I think a couple of cm long if I remember correctly, crawling around in my garden. Only one picture, all the others the camera focused on its shadow!

I agree, it looks very similar to the wiki picture, so it could be at the top end of length. Most silverfish I have seen appear a little shorter, silvery in colour and shorter legs, and they wiggle much more than this one did .
It could be some Thysanura.
