This Orchid has only one flower per year. It does not last very long. Most of the uear thd plang looks parched and dead. And than..... This!!!

Thanks for your reply! The only hickup is that this flower lives in our garden in Thailand.
This looks very much like the plant in the link above, albeit perhaps even more blousy! It's a trigeneric hybrid, that is a manmade cross between three different orchid genera: Brassia, Laelia & Cattleya. All three genera are native to South & Central America.
