Net-casting Spider

About 2cm body length, with a slender stick-like appearance. These spiders have developed a unique hunting technique: as they dangle from a silken thread, a short distance over the ground or a leaf, they spin a small fuzzy web which they hold between their first two pairs of legs. This fuzzy silk is highly elastic and when prey comes wondering past beneath the spider, she will 'cast' the net over it with enormous speed and accuracy. The prey animal becomes entangled and the spider's next meal.
