Description:

Adult stage of the Antlion, it looks a little like a dragonfly, notice diferences in the antenna and wings.

Habitat:

Forest edges.

Notes:

In the second and third pictures you can see the larve; trapping ants.

Antlions are so great, it looks like a cross between a moth and a dragonfly.

This is a great spotting! I love the close up of the catch by the larva in the last picture!
Beautiful picture! Vivid color of the red and black against the green background, and the shadows make it really interesting. = ) Great spotting! I always thought antlions were fascinating as many people are unaware of them. I never knew they grew into that adult form.
You got a very interesting picture, the shadows of the wings give it an unnusual flavour. Well done.
