Description:
These tiny porcelain crab are also known as Sea Pen Porcelain Crab. They feed on plankton and grow to about 2cm.
Habitat:
Found on coral and rocky reefs living commensally with sea pens, all over the Indo-Pacific region.
Notes:
I photographed these tiny crablets (they appear to be juveniles) by accident when I was taking pictures of the host sea pen (Pteroeides sp.). It was during a night dive at a depth of about 15m, off the coast of Isla Reta Beach Resort, Talikud Island, Philippines.
