Description:

Also known as Venus Shrimp, Venus Anemone Shrimp, Venustus Cleaner Shrimp and Venustus Shrimp. Formerly classified as Periclimenes venustus.

The color on this commensal shrimp's transparent abdomen is boomerang-shaped and edged with a darker hue. There are white and purple spots or rings on the tail and claws.

They feed on parasites, algae and plankton and grow to about 2.5cm.

Habitat:

Found on sea anemones, bubble coral, mushroom coral and certain types of jellyfish. Widespread in the Indo-Pacific region.
