Field Notes

Description:

Shovel headed worm with black stripes down the length of it and green, slimy coating.

Habitat:

Underneath brick in poultry enclosure with partial shade and pond.

Notes:

These are predatory and eat earthworms :(

Hello Donald, unfortunately I don't know of a benefit to them. Most of the references just point to their predatory behavior of the beneficial earth worm. Perhaps someone else can answer Donald?
