Description:
Plasmodio (masa gelatinosa de bacterias) granuloso y corriente rítmica reversible, formado a través de múltiples divisiones celulares de los zigotos (huevos). Según las condiciones de humedad, estas células son ameboides o células flageladas. Es de color blanco y reptante, dejando en su desplazamiento un rastro mocoso incoloro llamado hipotalo. Se alimenta de pequeños organismos vivos, como por ejemplo bacterias. Cuando las condiciones de temperatura y humedad son las adecuadas se produce la fructificación de los cuerpos reproductores, llamados etalios.
Etalio: formado por una masa mucilaginosa de color blanco sucio o grisáceo, de varios centímetros de longitud y forma almohadillada. Se trata de una masa informe que se adapta a la forma que tiene el sustrato sobre el que fructifica. Su apariencia macroscópica es similar a la del cuajo de la leche y su consistencia es mocosa, si se le presiona con los dedos en esta fase prácticamente desaparece. Sin embargo, al madurar se oscurece y endurece de forma notable.
Pie inexistente, se adhiere directamente al sustrato.
Esporas de color pardo oscuro al microscopio, esporada negra. Tienen un tamaño considerable, pudiendo llegar a las 15 micras, y forma más o menos esférica.
Habitat:
En ramas de madera muerta, zona umbría junto al margen del río Turia, La Presa (Valencia).
Notes:
Plasmodium (gelatinous mass of bacteria) granular and current rhythmic reversible, formed through multiple cell divisions of zygotes (eggs). Under wet conditions, these cells are amoeboid or flagellated cells. It is white and crawling, leaving a trail as it moves brat called hypothalamic colorless. It feeds on small organisms such as bacteria. When temperature and humidity conditions are right occurs fruiting reproductive bodies, called etalios.
Etalio: formed by a mucilaginous mass of dirty white or gray, several centimeters in length and is padded. It is a formless mass that fits the shape of the substrate on which fruitful. Its gross appearance is similar to the curdle milk and its consistency is runny, if you press with your fingers at this stage almost disappears. However, darkens and hardens grow significantly.
Pie nonexistent, adheres to the substrate.
Spores dark brown under the microscope, black spores. They have a considerable size and may reach 15 microns, and more or less spherical.
