Description:

Poisonous snake, relatively small, 45 to 50 cm, although some have reported up to 80 cm. They are in the group have loreal pit, which allows them to detect warm-blooded prey. in Costa Rica are found at elevations from 1600 to 3600, which means relatively cold and rainy areas.
