Field Notes

Description:

About 3 mm long, has specks of flaky material on its back. Had a small head. No distinctive features apparent except legs - seen in all three pics.

Pic #2 shows bristly tail

Notes:

Found this on an agapanthus leaf. The larva was aware of me or movement near it. It turned around 360 degrees on the one spot and moved-crab like from side to side. It appeared to be searching for shade and settled under shade of another leaf.
