Field Notes

Description:

Bolete mushroom with a hairy mold coming from its pores. The cap of the mushroom was about 6 cm in diameter, brown, dark brown near the margin and had crazed surface that revealed yellow flesh. The large pores were dark brown almost black. Slender camel coloured stem about 3 cm tall. No stem ring present.

Habitat:

Grew on leaf litter, mostly French oak (Quercus robur) leaves.

Notes:

I didn't cut this mushroom so I can't tell fr certain, but maybe this is Boletus cisalpinus. I also have yet to find an ID for the hairy mold. Spotted in National Park De Hoge Veluwe, Holland.
