Description:

sea turtle with damaged carapace stranded on reef flat by low tide

Habitat:

near shore tropical coral reef ecosystem

Notes:

spotted just offshore of Nualolo Kai on Kauai; turtles frequently haul out at this location, but normally reach the sand beach before the reef uncovers
