Description:

Colonial species, occupies abandoned mines and caves at the base of mountains where the alluvial fan supports agaves, yuccas, saguaros, and organ pipe cacti.

I really appreciate your spottings; I'm in San Diego, and Baja is such a similar biome, but less disturbed by humans.
We took him out of the mine for a minute to take pictures. This was while doing research on bats of the desert of Central Baja California.
How did you get a daylight picture of this bat? It's great!
