Field Notes

Habitat:

Florida Native. In particular Southern and coastal Florida in moist to dry hammocks. Sandy soil and moderately salt tolerant. Also, in garden landscapes as a good maintenance free native ornamental choice.

Notes:

Perhaps due to dry winter season or intense sun in this coastal hammock most of the shrubs were yellow. Most were fruiting. Last pic to show the typical shape and size of the plant in this area.
