Field Notes

Description:

Small Armillaria fungus about 1 cm tall. The furry, yellow golden coloured cap was approximately 1 cm in diameter.

Habitat:

Grew on the side of an unidentified dead tree stump. Probably a hardwood tree.

Notes:

Young Armillaria specimen, maybe to young to get a correct ID without a microscopic examination. Spotted in rural area of Deventer, Holland.
