Description:
This is the wet season form of the Brown-veined White, which is a small to medium-sized butterfly of the Pieridae family. This species was the most abundant butterfly at the time of visit on the small island of Chumbe, just off Zanzibar and the Tanzanian coast.
Habitat:
Flying at eye level in bushes near the beach. Distribution: sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia.
Notes:
This butterfly is also known as the Pioneer White or African Caper White
