Description:
I am told by the many avid birders that have gathered to observe this particularly rare sight that this bird is a male although it appears to have dark specks on its wings.
Habitat:
Snowy Owls typically live in the tundra area of North America. However, this one was recently spotted in Central Indiana, USA. It has been hanging out at Indianapolis Regional Airport formerly known as Mt. Comfort Airport east of Indianapolis, IN, USA for the last few days.
Notes:
The boys and I got to see it this morning thanks to a family friend. When we were there the owl was on the ground. However, our camera was unable to photograph the owl up close. So, this is my friend's photo from the previous day.
