Field Notes

Description:

A bush of 1 meter high. It has big white flowers. They seem to come by 3 or 4 but do not all open at once. Once one died the other one opens up. They do not seem to live long. They smell spicy and delicious.

Habitat:

Thailand

Notes:

I know this is a Jasmin kind, but want to know what kind exactly.

Species ID Suggestions

Samoan Gardenia

Tabernaemontana africana

I just checked the link also but they do seem to have thicker petals. Does it help to say that the flowers smell like cloves, and that it produced 2 different kind of flowers!!! I only noticed it once and did not take a picture of the other flower but it looked like this http://www.coolchaser.us/l/keywords/samoan%20gardenia They call that flower the samoan Gardenia Transparent. Both those flowers on one bush....is that normal?
Despina aren't petals are little broad in specie holstii as seen on your shared link....?
How big are his leaves? It's milk wood species, rrobably the Tabernaemontana pachysiphon http://www.rareflora.com/tabermontanaho.htm
