Description:

Flatworm 2-3 cm long with longitudinal yellow-black-yellow stripe and radial yellow teardrop/paisley-shaped stripes on black background flowing toward narrow orange margin.

Habitat:

Near shore tropical waters; coral reef ecosystem.

Notes:

Spotted offshore of Leeward Oahu. Month and day are notional; the year is known with certainty. Original medium photoprint; photo taken with Nikonos III using close-up kit and flash; print subsequently scanned and image saved as digital file.
