Field Notes

Description:

A gray body with a black and white streaked back. The female only has a small gold patch at the base of the bill and a larger gold patch on the back of the head. Right after she left the water the male came and got in the exact same spot to drink.

Habitat:

Drinking from the bird bath at the blind in Palo Duro Canyon SP
