Description:

This male house sparrow was spotted on the small coral island of Chumbe, just off Zanzibar and the Tanzanian coast. House sparrows are introduced to Africa, and are mostly found in the Southern part of the continent.

Habitat:

Quite common on Chumbe Island around the few built and inhabited areas. Spotted here in open bush close to the beach.
