Field Notes

Description:

A tall tree about 20 metres tall, usually multi-leadered. These are the flowers and of course we can undestand the name of the tree. The flower is Racemose. The flowers also attract the bees which is a good thing in Te Puke as this is the Kiwifruit capital, and kiwifruit need to be polinated by bees.

Habitat:

Usually a canopy tree. From the top of the North Island to the Bottom of Stewart Island. Is a fairly tolarant tree in terms of temperature.
