Description:

Over 3 1/2 inches in length. Giant cocoon, possibly Cecropia Moth Cocoon (Hyalophora cecropia) Also known as Wild Saturniid Silk Moth. With a wingspan of 160 mm making it the largest (or one of the largest) moths in North America.

Habitat:

Woodlands. Bushes - To be determined

I was also told that it could be a praying mantis case/cocoon, but this had lots of leaves and sticks, so I suspect moth. HELP!
