Description:

My friend took these photos with her cell phone of a bee hive that had been built under an old lawn mower.
Very sadly she called an exterminator rather than a bee rescuer. I have set her straight for next time!

Seema, this poor hive got destroyed. Bee Keepers don't destroy the hives to get honey at all. They put smoke around the hive which calms the bees and then they have some method (I'm out of my depth here) to get the honey.
How do they kill the bee for extracting the honey? In India, they set the hive on fire...pity on the poor insects..they slog for months and eventually get killed
