Description:
The White Heath Aster is in bloom right now. It is filled with butterflies (Monarch), bees, wasps, moths, and flies. It is from 1-3 ft tall. The flower head is 1/2 inch wide. White petals with yellow center disk. The name aster I from the Greek for "star".
Habitat:
Dry prairies, fields, roadsides. These are in a wet area near a brook.
