Olive Baboon
Papio anubis
-0.77, 29.63
Field Notes
Description:
The olive baboon (Papio anubis), also called the Anubis baboon, is a member of the family Cercopithecidae (Old World monkeys). The species is the most widely ranging of all baboons.
I watched this family cross the road to this old dried up water hole and commence grooming. So human-like.
Habitat:
An almost dried up water hole in the vast grassland of QENP. Last photo shows the habitat.
