Description:

Smallest bird in photo - next to willet and marbled godwit for comparison - slightly marked feathers on wings and back, whitish belly with heavy spotting. Does not bob tail when moving.

Habitat:

Mission bay park on sand berm that protects beach from increasing high tides

I saw a flock of leasts elsewhere(will eventually post pics) and was taken by both how small they were and how bright their feathers were).
The yellowish legs and size of the bird have me leaning towards a Least Sandpiper.
