Description:

May Apple, Podophyllum peltatum, starting to flower at Brooklyn Botanic Garden.

Habitat:

Native to forests of eastern North America.

Notes:

These are flowering in the native plant garden of BBG. So cool how they produce one single flower at the base of the leaves. Very odd looking.
