Field Notes

Description:

Small crustacean-like organisms found under a rock on the beach. They were jumping around. I believe them to be amphipods but I am not sure.

Habitat:

Under a rock at low tide.

Talitrus saltator

I would agree now that i see where the distribution is.
It is quite likely that these amphipods are members of Talitridae, however I doubt that they are Talitrus saltator since they are native to Europe. Thanks, though.
