Field Notes

Description:

This is on the track up to Mount Luxmore. The entire tree stem is covered in the fungi, which I am pretty sure is tremetes.

Habitat:

This area is beside Lake Te Anau which has some of the higest rainfall in the world. We measure in metres not milimetres. That makes this site quite wet and damp which is ideal for fungi.
