Field Notes

Description:

Approx. 25mm long and more than half that wide. Metallic green/gold.

Habitat:

This one was in a treed urban setting.

Notes:

The shell appears scratched. It was on its back on a paved sidewalk. After I helped it get upright, it flew away quite strongly.

It looks very much like C. aurata, the rose chafer, but I can't find any evidence that those are in Korea.
