Description:

America's smallest falcon. Dove-like in shape and in size. Remarkable coloration and patterns. In second photo you can see it appears to be grasping something; and the third photo it appears to be eating what looks like a katydid or other insect of some kind.

Habitat:

Found perched on the tip of an Agave lechuguilla stalk.
