Description:
A nice and lush looking tree, Has a wonderful round form when grown in the full sunlight. Puts on a good show when in flower but is fly polinated so there is no pleasant fragrance to go with it. Is often confused with Schefflera digitata (seven finger) which looks very similar. Which is not a good thing for practitioners of Maori medicene as the two tree's have very different properties.
Habitat:
Generally grow on the forest margins. Older trees will ofyen be seen inside the forest, with foliage on on the emergent part of the tree. Photo three has a fly in the pic doing its thing with the flowers.
