Field Notes

Description:

It is a small moth in the family (crambidae).The moth has pink fore wings with palish pink colored hind wings.The moth sits with it's antenna upwards.The legs are white.

Habitat:

Semi-urban, Fort Worth, Texas

Notes:

Adults have been recorded on wing from March to November.
The larval feed on Salvia species, including Salvia farinacea.It is found in United States, where it has been recorded from Arizona, California, Florida, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas. It is also found in Mexico.
