In monsoon season in India thousands are on the wing.
The flying termites here are quite annoying especially during termite season where the princesses crawl all over my place and myself and produce foul smell when disturbed.
@AngryBee You're right it doesn't have to be a queen, it could be a male termite aswell.
Ours are flying in thousands now - always this time of year - the lizards always come and wait near the nest - and get fat :)
@ ArgyBee never know before that termites can fly and seaching for new home..learn alot.
no need to be queen of termites... all princes and princesses get wings, fly away to find a new home then lose their wings
@ ArgyBee touch with gentle ..but it lose their wing anyways.. ;)
I has no idea...but thank for your information.. my cat like to eat it. lol.
it looks like a sort of Termite queen, and yes after they've mated, they loose their wings.
