Field Notes

Description:

Juvenile Bald Eagle

Habitat:

Found along lakes, rivers, and coasts where prey is abundant and prominent trees afford nest sites and an unobstructed view of surroundings.

Notes:

Saw this juvenile eagle on my way home from work one morning near Holy Cross Abbey in Berryville, VA. It was nice enough to stay put for a long enough time to let me snap a few photos!
