Description:

Orange and yellow fungi growing out of a dead and decaying hardwood tree

Habitat:

Dark woods with plenty of moisture and dead hardwood

Notes:

Spotted this at La Chua Trail in the Paynes Prairie Park of Gainesville, FL. I wanted to take a picture and a hiker familiar with mushrooms broke a tiny piece off and ate it, to my astonishment.
