Firefly

Cyphonocerus ruficollis

It is a firefly belonging to the Lampyrinae sub family. Possibly a Diaphanes or a Pyrocoelia genus, certainly not a Cyphonoceros. Do you have a photo of its underside to show the light organs and eyes? Where did you find this? I am a firefly researcher. Thank you Sonny Wong, Malaysian Nature Society
Gordon, you are right is a firefly. Cyphonocerus ruficollis. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Cyphonocerus_ruficollis_2552543412_crop.png
I think this may be a firefly (possibly within the genus Ptreroplyx), but can't help much beyond that. I hunted around the Internet some, but really didn't find anything.
