Field Notes

Description:

We spotted some wild dogs that were feasting on what looked like the remnants of a buffalo. After they finished with the buffalo, we followed them for a bit and found a hyena eating what was left of an elephant. It looked like the elephant had been dead for a while and there were plenty of vultures waiting in the trees for the hyena to leave so they could have what was left.

Amazing shots! Hyenas are incredible creatures - we saw a pack see off a pair of lionesses in the Serengeti but sadly there wasn't enough light for photos!
