Field Notes

Description:

Evergreen bush with pink/red inflorescence and light pink flowers. It has dark green leaves and red stems. When in bloom in early April (second image), it's nearly all white.

Habitat:

Along Mule Hill trail at Lake Hodges. This is native to California.
