Description:
Ells: "Perennial or biennial, up to 0.6 m (2 ft) tall; stems slender and reddish; leaves alternate, to 7.5 cm (3 in) long, pinnately dissected into ... three to nine widely-spaced string-like segments; flowers red to 5 cm (2 in) long, tubular, with five reflexed, pointed lobes, in a loose panicle to 30 cm (12 in) long.
Habitat:
Foothills to montaine in sun.
Notes:
Along north side of road east of the Beaver Meadows Visitors' Center, Rocky Mountain National Park.
