Description:

20mm long looks like a toctoc beetle, black with a few pale markings, shiny

Habitat:

Rural garden in sub-tropical rainforest area.

Notes:

This insect was seen on the trunk of a tree that seemed to be dying even though it was young. It had quite a few holes in its trunk of approximately the same size as the insect. <br> Found it at last.. very localised distribution.
