Field Notes

Description:

A medium sized antelope, very similar to the Kob and Lechwe. Kasungu National Park is the only park in Malawi where Puku currently occur. "Our" group of puku have become quite used to us, but it was still a special occasion when this female jumped out of the bush only a few meters away. We looked at each other for a few minutes, giving time to Terry & Jill to take her picture. I always think these animals have some kind of underrated beauty.

Habitat:

Grassland type habitats in miombo woodland

Hi dominiquenoome, this was a lovely spotting. I took some liberty and included it in two African wildlife missions. Hope you will not mind my intervention. Cheers
