Hi, KarenPuracan you wanted to see its wings open, pl check my latest post which shows its ventral aspect.
Gorgeous! Thank you for sharing :)
Thanks Johan, IvanPancic, venusflytrap2000, Studen, MahabaleshwaraB, dotun55, Reza, Rubens, LindaAlisto, beaker98, Marta, Nuwan, Nebeto, Billo and nrvero for making this beauty favourite. Thanks guys once again!
Thanks bayucca for studying it. Could this be then a new species?
KarenPuracan, I've witnessed it fly, but then it's a blurrrr, however as soon as it settles on to a spot it closes its wings immediately. There's therefore, no hope of it keeping its wings open and we getting a chance to observe it!
Thanks dotun55 for the comment, ID and the refs. My posting dated Jan 11, 2024 (Cyana bianca) looks similar, but admixture of that yellow band in this species! I just loved it.
Yes, Cyana sp., but I did not find a perfect match.
Here's an African species >> http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/28460007
I would love to see it with the wings open! WOW! Love it.
Yes MahabaleshwaraB, I agree with you. Nature is the greatest artist! Thanks anyway.
