It's possibly Viburnum rhytidophyllum, Leatherleaf Viburnum.

It has fuzzy twigs and the fruits ripen to black as the winter advances.
I don't know what viburnum it is, but leaf shape resembles http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Viburnum_lantana_a1.jpg
Some viburnums have leaves that resemble maple leaves. You could try taking a twig with leaves and fruit into your local nursery. They might be able to identify it.
