Thanks, Sachin. The scene was rather idyllic: this little fellow was all alone in this pond just grooming away. You're right, Emma; I had to get these pictures at maximum zoom (there was a host of fuzzier ones).
This bird is a great diver. Now you see it now you don't! The chicks are constantly chirping and pestering their mom for food.
