Field Notes

Description:

Hoverfly with patterned abdomen and clear wings. This female was about 7mm long. This is very similar to the Common Oblique Syrphid - A. obliqua but the face has a black stripe making this A. exotica.

Habitat:

Front yard hovering around African Daisy and Rose
