Field Notes

Notes:

Lots of these flying ants had gathered at the site of the 'Mothing Night'. As usual spiders get busy to attack smaller moths and other insects. While photographing moths I saw this spider rush to this flying ant and grabbed it. But it froze there, and as expected did not carry away to eat it. When I examined them closely, I saw the flying ant's stinging part at the spider's thorax. The flying ant's sting perhaps did immobilise the spider!
