I kind of like them because they are religious (always praying), hygienic (cleaning up their hands after eating) and professional camouflagers.
It's quite challenging, at the same time fun, trying to spot them camouflaging perfectly against their natural environment.
They are beneficial too in pest control.
You guys probably already know all these, I just want to remind you that they are not that bad, although they sometimes prey on my favorite spiders.
Personally I prefer phasmids too. Watching a female mantid bite the head off and consume the male seems a little too life-like to me.
And sometimes it's pretty difficult to see how human predation drives evolution.
This is so cute!! This is a nymph, based on no wings yet. I actually secretly hate mantids because they eat stick insects which I love. However, predators do drive evolution, which I love.
