Field Notes

Description:

Mud-dobber's nest? Cliff swallows? Honestly I know nothing of dwellings unless I see something living in it. Found it on the underside of some sandstone "cliffs". I could easily fit my fist in some of the broken or unfinished ones. There was also other nests within these. I found a couple paper wasp nests for sure.

Yvonne, I'm glad you got it into the mission nests, Hives, Bowers etc http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/8082378 It's such a lovely spotting!
I put it into signs, and "Nests, hives, bowers, webs, and other animal architecture". Thank you guys :)
That link didn't work Ava. Which mission is that? I've been having a slightly difficult time editing some of my spottings... when I try they don't always update the way I set them to and sometimes I end up having to delete the spotting and start all over.
Oh lovely! Put it into http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/8082378!
Incredibly :) I can only imagine how they do it. I will have to look into details tomorrow, just for fun :)
You're quite welcome. The engineering is really spectacular, isn't it?
Yeah, i think you are correct. Just saw some pictures of mud daubers nests, and they are definately not those. Although I think there were some inside the cliff swallows nests :) Thank you Gordon.
